Jazz and Beyond TV - Last show 2008

This show was broadcast live over the airwaves, streaming Internet, and Live Streaming Video! It was all captured for future viewing as seen below. OK, so maybe it is not all that interesting as TV, but it was a cool experiment, that I will try again in another upcoming show. As far as the music, we will end 2008 with mostly party music. The show starts off in a Latin groove with Tito Puente. I took several requests through Facebook, so if there is something you'd like to hear, post it on my Wall and I will do my best to accommodate it.

After the Rain

A show inspired by the rains that fell in the North East this week. It begins with one of the finest versions I have heard of After the Rain as arranged and performed by Anat Cohen on her recent CD. Another track I am particularly fond of is Dave Holland's Equality and the beautiful soulful alto solo by Antonio Hart. The Miles from India track should please a lot of listeners that write to me digging the Indian fusion sets that I do, but contrasted with Milestones from Mile's sextet from 1958 really shows how he could swing.
