High Fidelity

At least higher fidelity than recent podcasts. This show was recorded in my home studio and converted to AAC format. Though still only 96kbs, it is much higher quality than what I have been producing lately. Since WHUS moved to the new studio, and moved its streaming Internet server from which I record my show for podcasting, the quality has degraded for reasons beyond my control. I am experimenting with new ways of producing this podcast. While the audio quality is much better, your computer or portable audio player must be able to play AAC files (.m4a)... hey dude, just get a Mac and an iPod!! I would be very interested in your feedback so PLEASE leave a comment if you enjoy the higher quality audio, or if you have trouble playing the file.

As for the music... we have some great new releases featured from the likes of Joan Stiles, Wallace Roney, Zach Ferris and others.

Summer Vacation Shuffle

Just as important as packing your suitcase, is loading up your iPod with some fine Jazz tunes before heading out on vacation. Load em' up, and put it on shuffle. The tunes presented on tonights show, are the ones that I enjoyed while kickin' back on the beach, or cruising around Cape Cod MA last week. The tunes enhanced the joy of a relaxing week off of work and taking in the sun, reading a book and watching the waves roll in. Of course while at the Cape, we checked out some live music, The unique sound of Ron Reid's Sunsteel band is an interesting fusion of Calypso, Latin and Jazz. This is my way of sharing my vacation with you.
