More 2008 Review

We continue from last weeks show with our 2008 in review featuring the highlights of my year in jazz. We saw some great performances in Hartford and New York City, and there were some fine jazz releases. One of those was from Jimmy Greene on Nu Jazz Records. This record label, is a new concept in jazz music distribution, one that represents the future of the recording industry, in my opinion. This is a fine, fine album that I would highly recommend for you to purchase for your jazz library. Check out my article on Nu Jazz records at JazzNotes SDP. View the video below, and see more video and information at Nu Jazz's website.

Yep, great stuff. But...is there anything you can do about the bleed-through you are putting out sometimes? I'm talking about the computer "bonks" but sometimes worse stuff, like over-talking and odd pieces of other music. You can hear it at in this piece at about 4:07, 4:16, 4:20 and some other music going on at 4:54, and some more as well as later on, but I've also heard stuff like this in several earlier podcasts. Maybe your computer has a setting you can tweak so it doesn't happen?

OK, so this one got a little sloppy. Please remember, this is College/Community VOLUNTEER radio. I don't have an engineer, I am queuing music, engineering the show, taking occasional phone calls, logging playlists, etc. It can be challenging, but that is part of the fun. I always try to put out a quality broadcast, but I do screw up occasionally... maybe more that occasionally.

And, if you are looking for CD quality audio GO OUT AND BUY THE CD! Support these artists. That is the point of this show.

Hey, no worries, just thought you might be able to do something simple to keep it from happening. Won't keep me from listening, that's for sure. And you've definitely put a few items on my buy list.
