Karen Frisk's Picks
New England jazz singer Karen Frisk joins me in Studio A at WHUS to do this weeks show. Besides Karen's vocal stylings from her album How Little We Know, we play several other great jazz singers and players selected by Karen, like Freddie Cole, Amanda Carr, David Fathead Newman, Houston Person and others. If you reside in New England, check out Karen Frisk upcoming performance at Chan's in Woonsocket Rhode Island next Sunday June 8, 7 PM.

Call me old fashioned - but after enduring all that fusion nonsense from "Kitchen sink", this Karen Frisk and last weeks Coltrane tribute were the best shows in a long time!
What a relief!
Oops, guess you won't like my most recent podcast, Lulu. Lot's more fusion in that one. Not to worry! I think I'll play some good old fashion straight ahead be-boppin' jazz piano next week.
