HIJF2007

This podcast was created as the Hartford International Jazz Fest kicks off. Last night we attended two great venues to see Hartford's own Dezron Douglas with his quartet, and many walk-ons for a great jam session. Dezron is doing his part to give young jazz prospects stage time at a great festival. We also met pianist Christopher Bakriges, and heard his group Disiples of Cool. Christopher's album is represented here. Tonight we see Francois Moutin Quartet with Joel Frahm, followed by local talent in a variety of venues. This is a great weekend for Hartford Connecticut once again. Many of the musicians playing are included in tonights podcast.
