Kind of Blue

Tonights broadcast is based on the Miles Davis landmark LP, Kind of Blue. Many consider this as perhaps the greatest Jazz album ever, and I certainly would rank it at least in the top five. I was inspired to do this feature after listening to this wonderful NPR Podcast on the making of Kind of Blue. I was tempted to play the podcast on air, but I am not sure of the legality of doing so. You will hear some choice cuts from Kind of Blue, along with some other tracks from this era featuring session men from KOB, Bill Evans, Wynton Kelly, John Coltrane and others.
