Island Shuffle
This podcast is inspired by the songs on my iPod Shuffle (tm) that kept me In the Groove while on vacation at Sanibel Island in Florida last week. Its an eclectic mix to be sure, but that is what the shuffle is all about. The music ranges from modern and 60's hard bop, latin, fusion, rock and even jazz influenced bluegrass... but it all swings hard.

Ever hear of Ben Sidran? He’s a world-renowned jazz musician out of the Madison, WI area and a former NPR talk-show host. He’s recently put together a set of CDs called “Talking Jazz” which contains 60 interviews with fellow jazz musicians like Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie and Betty Carter.
