Gary and Chick

I had the pleasure of attending a performance by Gary Burton and Chick Corea recently at University of Connecticut Jorgenson Auditorium. Together they created a hauntingly beautiful tone, and an incredible empathy with each others playing. At times it seemed as if they were as one artist with four arms playing two instruments. Burton and Corea have been playing together for over 30 years. This show highlights them as a duet, and as leaders of their own bands over a span of many years.
