The Lost Session

No, not really some long lost jazz tapes... just part of my show from a couple of weeks ago that was never published. By request, and because my regular broadcast show was preempted this week, here it is. Starts out with a couple of interesting arrangements from Skerik and his Syncopated Taint Septet (dig the title of the first cut), and ends with a kickin' organ set from the masters of the B3, Jimmy McGriff, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and the immortal Jimmy Smith.

Ken, this is a smokin' group..thanks for the introduction!

No, you're not crazy..they do have a Mingus vibe goin' on..and the political awareness to go with it.

Will add this cd to my collection..listened to the whole thing in Napster..

I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate the exposure to these new artists; from Bob Reynolds, Eldar, etc..thanks and keep 'em coming!
