Indian/Jazz Fusion and Miles Davis Tribute

One of my favorite genre's is Indian/Jazz Fusion. John McLaughlin's Shakti brought this music to the forefront, but many musical artists have adopted this great form of musical expression. The second hour of the show will feature a Miles Davis Tribute to celebrate what would have been Miles 80th birtday (May 26, 1926).

Hey! I just found your site, and I think it's great to be able to listen to jazz music I don't know. I just started listening to the podcast, and hopefuly, I won't be dissapointed. If I like it, I will surely put a link on my blog, maybe even write a review.

Great seleccion, loved it end to end.. but I was surprised by a comment you make in the show: "Trilok Gurtu's most recent effort with his group Garaj Mahal" does Trilok play with them now?

Gerard, I stand corrected. Trilok is not with Garaj Mahal. My mistake. It is Kai Ekhardt that plays with Garaj. I must have confused the two as they both played with the great guitarist John McLauglin at one time. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. -Ken
